Django Unchained (2012)

A Brief Note: This was my very first review, and while this is a film that deserves far more than just the mere 100-words of this review, I have chosen to keep this intact as a reminder of where I started. Its been a journey, and I have adored every moment of it.

To describe this film in words is just impossible. Tarantino really tops himself this time around, and for good reason – he is an excellent filmmaker.

Obviously, I will love this film – my blog name is a homage to it. However, this film has performances that are unlike any other – Leonardo DiCaprio is unbelievably good as Calvin Candie, and so is Samuel L. Jackson as Stephen. However, the strongest performance is that from Christoph Waltz who deservedly won his Best Supporting Actor award a second time.

This is by far one of the best films of 2012 and one of Tarantino’s best.
